Rescue Operation :- This unit Disaster Management group performed a rescue operation on 31.07.2011 during a train accident of "Guwahati Bangalore Express" at Bakkarpur Malda and the another rescue operation on 22.10.2011 during collapse of hanging bridge at Bijanbari, Darjeeling.


Other activities : This unit D.M. group are performing daily physical exercise , Mob-dispersal drill ,Mock drill for rescue operation for earthquake and flood water along with the available equipment.


Capacity building profile : Joint fire fighting exercise with local fire service team of the district and river rafting on Kulik river is being performed on regular interval to strengthen the courage as well as to keep themselves fit for to rescue operation.
